“The main programme of Wianki – Festival of Music will be filled by sounds coming from three stages: the Hard Rock Café in Main Square, classic at Plac Szczepański square and folk on the Small Market Square. That’s not all, though – like last year, we have prepared a lion’s share of the programme in cooperation with people who organise concerts in Krakow every day. The Krakow Jam Session, with almost 40 additional items in the programme, prepared with 11 clubs and 6 Krakow organisations, once again shows the enormous cultural potential of the city. The essence of Wianki – Festival of Music is the work we do on these events with clubs, organisations, institutions and festivals from Krakow. It is thanks to them that this day is so diverse. I would like the number of partners to grow every year and that Wianki, like with a lens, to focus all the musical initiatives of the city. Let it be the musical Krakow in a nutshell!” says Izabela Helbin, Director of the Krakow Festival Office. This year, the Krakow Jam Session consists of three additional stages and club events.

The uniqueness and the power of this year’s feast lied in the fact that it did not have an epicentre. Thanks to the music stages scattered around the city, all residents and tourists could begin the summer to the sounds of varied music genres and hot rhythms.read more
