Fans of traditional music will also find something for themselves on the Small Market Square. On the Folk Stage, there will be performances of Hamernik –a highlanders’ band popularising the folklore of the Rocky Podhale region and Paulina Bisztyga, whose repertoire is situated on the borderline of Balkan song and sung poetry. There will also be an opportunity to see historical dances performed by the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet, which will present Chopin’s interpretations of mazurka, oberek, kujawiak and krakowiak in its show Sen, muzyka, taniec, bajka [Dream, Music, Dance, Tale]. Then, Qirim and Usein Bekirov Trio – a Crimea Tartar national dance band which skilfully mixes elements of Ukrainian and Crimea Tartar folklore on the basis of jazz music - will perform as a part of the celebrations of the Lviv Days. Finally, a huge portion of Slavic music will be served by Sokół Orkestar with Maja Sikorowska. We will hear a repertoire full of Balkan energy produced by brass instruments with fulminating power.
