We would like to apologise to fans of The Poise Rite.
Added: Monday, 22 June 2009

Unfortunately, the heavy rainfall caused some technical problems and, as result, the event organisers had to give up on The Poise Rite’s concert even though the band was ready to perform. We can assure their fans that the band will undoubtedly be performing for Kraków audiences at another event organised by the Krakow Festival Office. You are welcome to visit the band’s website at www.myspace.com/poiserite.

Wianki in Numbers
Added: Monday, 22 June 2009

Kraków’s Wianki is not only a festival of music but also a flourishing open-air event attracting thousands of viewers. This year, there were 500 members of the technical team engaged in the event’s production. 8 kilometres of cables were used to run the concert; the huge stage (30 x 20m, 14m high) was lit up by equipment weighing 10 tonnes in total. The sound was provided by L-ACOUSTICS V-DOSC®, a modern system weighing 8 tonnes. The technical infrastructure located throughout the event site required the operation of 23 aggregates generating a total power of 3MW. Over 600 security guards kept watch over the safety of the audience. Paramedics were ready for action at 5 sites located on the premises of the event, together with 6 ambulances and 5 WOPR lifeguard boats. 3 kilometres of protective fencing were used to fence off audience zones. Also, 120 portable toilets were placed in the spectator zone.
